2012 has been mainly focused on two mobile phones up until last week. The Samsung SIII and the iPhone 4S dominated the market and now all Apple fans are eagerly awaiting the arrival of the iPhone 5 hitting stores in a matter of days. If you’re looking to invest in a new smartphone and make sure you don’t buy a model that’s already out of date check out these three handsets and see which one impresses you most of all.
The iPhone 4s is a great little handset that comes with the much loved Siri app. Siri will talk to you, answering your questions and performing tasks you request with just the sound of your voice. If you want to send a text just tell Siri who you want to text, what you want to say and it shall be done.
There are also all the usual apps available on the iOS. This is where some people don’t like Apple as you are limited to apps that have been approved by Apple. One side argue that this means you could be paying more for an app, or not have as much choice compared to the Android market. The other side protest saying that all the apps are tested for their quality, meaning better value and less issues with lags and crashing.
The Samsung is a smart looking phone that comes in white or pebble blue. Like the iPhone 4S it can be operated using just your voice, although it doesn’t seem to be quite as responsive. There are thousands of apps that are available from Google Play and the operating systems works brilliantly without lag. The camera is pretty decent too; ideal for anyone that likes to capture images while out and about. This is a great phone and it’s certainly giving Apple a run for its money.
The iPhone 5
New to the market is the iPhone 5. If you are a fan of Apple you will love the larger retina screen measuring 4 inches, which is smaller than the Samsung SIII but will be clearer. It will come with an 8MP camera, keeping up with the SIII and runs on iOS 6 so expect some smooth operations with the various apps you’ll use such as Facebook and Twitter.
All of these phones have their high points and will make excellent purchases. It will basically come down to whether you are a fan of Apple or a fan of Samsung.
